Hockessin-area woman Cindy Pettinaro Wilkinson, who is a 1988 graduate of The Tatnall School, has been named a 2013 Governor's Outstanding Volunteer Award winner. Along with 25 other individuals and groups across Delaware, Cindy is being recognized as an individual who best exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism.
Award winners are selected based on a criteria that requires more than 100 hours of volunteer service for individuals and 250 hours for groups. Cindy, along with the other award winners, was responsible for advocating for causes, devoting large portions of her time and fundraising thousands of dollars for organizations across the state.
Cindy will be recognized at the Governor's Outstanding Volunteer Awards ceremony on Oct. 22 at the Dover Downs Hotel. The event will include a reception at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and award presentation at 7 p.m.
