Dover Police are looking for three men who robbed six people of cash, cell phones and other objects during a armed robbery behind Central Middle School. The incident took place Sept. 27 at Smith Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, said police spokesman Lt. Marvin Mailey. The victims said three men approached them at the intersection, pulled out handguns and demanded their cell phones. Five of the six turned over their phones – the robbers could not find a cell phone on the sixth victim – and one victim had his shoes and a watch taken, Mailey said. Another victim's camouflage-style wallet containing approximately $30 also was taken, he said. The suspects then fled through the school ball fields and later were seen going westbound on Mary Street near the intersection with Bradford Street. All three suspects were described as black men in their late teens to early 20s. The first suspect was stands approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing a black hoody and jeans and was carrying a black handgun. The second man stood 5 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing a CWS ball cap. He was armed with a black handgun, possibly a .45-caliber. No description was provided for the third suspect.
