A Virginia man is arrested on weapons charges after police say he crashed a stolen motorcycle on Interstate 95.
Tony Harris, 22, of Norfolk, was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence, reckless driving, and driving without a valid license.
Police say Harris made arrangements to test drive a Suzuki motorcycle located at an automobile business in Philadelphia. The business arranged for another person to go along with Harris on another motorcycle and escort him on the test ride. They say during the test ride, they stopped for fuel and the individual felt uncomfortable about the test ride and asked for the keys from the motorcycle. Police say Harris pointed a gun at the individual and he and drove away on the motorcycle onto Interstate 95. They say he lost control of the motorcycle and hit a guardrail, and was ejected.
Harris was transported by ambulance to the Christiana Trauma Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries.
