Attorney General Beau Biden announced Wednesday that his office has filed a petition seeking the emergency suspension of a pediatrician employed by the Nemours Alfred I. du Pont Hospital who has been charged with attempted murder in Pennsylvania.
Lauren Daly, 41, of Middletown Township, faces attempted murder, assault, reckless endangering, and endangering the welfare of child charges in connection with a Memorial Day incident. Daly allegedly shot her former partner several times through the windshield of a car while their 11-year-old son was sitting in the passenger seat outside her home in the 200 block of North Middletown Road.
Daly, who has been held in Pennsylvania since her arrest last month on a two million dollar bail, was held over for trial following a preliminary hearing June 18 before a magistrate judge in Media, Delaware County. Daly was officially suspended from her duties at the Delaware hospital in May.
