The Shell gas station at 1800 Foulk Road in North Wilmington was robbed Sunday morning, Delaware State Police said.
The incident occurred at 10:28 a.m. Sunday when a man entered the business and stated to the cashier that he needed to purchase gasoline, Delaware State Police Cpl. John Day said. The suspect gave the 22-year-old female cashier money.
When she opened the cash register the suspect reached inside and grabbed the cash, Day said. He then fled from the store.
The suspect was described as a black male, 35 to 40 years old and approximately 5-foot-10 with an average build, Day said. No further physical or clothing description was available.
