  • Delaware State Police troopers are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at the Doubletree Hotel, 4727 Concord Pike, this morning.
    The incident occurred at 9:57 a.m. as the 64-year-old male victim from Anchorage, Alaska, exited the hotel and walked to his vehicle, which was parked in the front parking lot, State Police Cpl. John Day said. A male suspect approached the victim, stated that he was armed, and demanded money. The victim turned around and walked back into the hotel. The suspect did not follow him.
    The suspect was described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, approximately 5-foot-11 with a large build and wearing a black shirt. No further physical or clothing description was available.
