  • Delaware State Police troopers are investigating a robbery of a 51-year-old woman that occurred at her residence in the 500 block of Wilson Road Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday when the victim entered her vehicle, which was parked in the garage of her residence, State Police Cpl. John Day said. As she prepared to drive out of the garage, a black male suspect, armed with a handgun, appeared at her vehicle's window.
The suspect forcibly entered the vehicle and made the victim sit in the passenger seat. The suspect drove the vehicle to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2011 Concord Pike, and forced the victim to withdraw money from her bank account using an ATM. The suspect then took the money, drove the victim to her residence, and fled from the residence on foot. The victim was not injured in this incident.
The suspect was described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, approximately 6-foot-2 with heavy build and wearing dark clothing, Day said. He was armed with a handgun. No further physical or clothing description available.
