"We've developed a rotating menu of soups, salads, sandwiches and sides that are delicious and healthy,"says Kitchen Manager and Natural Foods Chef Cosmia Weinerth, who added that new recipes continue to be developed.
Current best sellers include curried turkey salad, sweet potato hummus and bountiful beet
salad. The fresh produce used in all the recipes is certified organically grown, as are the
majority of other ingredients — maintaining the same quality standards as set in the rest of the
"You won't see the typical institutional-style food service truck at our back door," according to
Harvest Market owner Bob Kleszics. "We prepare everything from scratch. We hand squeeze
our lemon juice from fresh, organic lemons and also mince our own fresh organic ginger and
garlic," noting that the fresher flavors are worth the extra time and cost over jarred versions.
Every item is packaged in fully recyclable containers and most of the packaging itself is made
from 100-percent post-consumer recycled material. The Harvest Market Kitchen caters to a variety of
dietary preferences including healthy omnivore, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. As Kleszics
notes, it really is possible to get "slow food to go" at Harvest Market.
