A bridge painting will require daytime lane closures on Al O. Plant Bridge in Wilmington, beginning Monday.
WHEN: 9 a.m. until 3 .p.m. on Monday through Friday, pending weather, until the end of May, according to a DelDOT press release.
WHERE: Al O. Plant Bridge over the Brandywine River on Northeast Boulevard between North Church Street and East 12th St. in Wilmington
WHAT: DelDOT's contractor, Marinis Brothers Inc., will be setting up equipment to paint the bridge which will require northbound lane closures. The contractor will be removing the existing coating and painting the structural steel to increase the service life of the bridge.
Motorists should use caution in this area for shifting of traffic and construction crews on the bridge.
