  • The Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is the first children's hospital in the Delaware Valley to offer the da Vinci Si Surgical System.
The Si robotic technology allows gives surgeons the ability to perform a greater variety and complexity of surgical cases, such as treating children with conditions involving the kidney and bladder. In the future, the  ENT and general surgeons will also offer robotic-assisted procedures.
The da Vinci Si features enhanced 3D, high definition vision of operative field with up to 10 times magnification, visual clarity of tissue and anatomy and more. Children undergoing robotic surgery may experience faster recovery, less pain, less blood loss and scarring, fewer infections and post-operatives complications, and reduced length of stay.
