A car crash with entrapment on Old Gatehouse Road near Winterthur left three people in critical condition.

Investigators say March 3 a car collided head-on with a pick-up truck then left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The 22-year-old male driver of the car was trapped for 30 minutes and he was treated for a head injury and possible internal injuries while on the scene. He was flown to Christiana Hospital and was admitted in critical condition. The 25-year-old rear passenger was trapped for 20 minutes. He was treated for head, leg, and pelvic injuries where he was transported to the hospital in serious condition. The 59-year-old female front passenger was treated for chest and possible head and internal injuries. She was also admitted in serious condition.
