  • Delaware Humane Association will be holding a wellness clinic for cats and dogs on March 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Concord Pet Foods & Supplies in Newark (Suburban Plaza, 312 Suburban Drive).
Monthly clinics are held in partnership with and on-site at Concord Pet Foods and Supplies stores throughout New Castle and Kent Counties in Delaware. Additional wellness clinics are offered throughout the year that take place at DHA's animal shelter and adoption center in Wilmington and other select locations. All vaccinations are administered by a licensed veterinarian.
Pet owners can receive the following services and products for their cats and dogs:
Rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations – $15 each
HomeAgain microchips (permanent identification for pet/owner reunion) – $25 each
General dewormer (two doses; second will be sent home for you to administer at a later date) – $5
New Castle County dog licenses – $12 to $47; payment is accepted separately (for complete licensing information, visit dehumane.org/doglicensing)
Clinics are first come, first served, and cash or checks only are accepted for payment. Cats must be in hard plastic or cardboard carriers, and dogs must be wearing a collar and non-retractable leash. Your pet's most recent previous rabies certificate with veterinarian's signature or stamp must be presented to receive a three-year rabies vaccination.
