  • Reward offered in fatal shooting of Townsend man

  • A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two men who gunned down a Townsend man who was gunned down outside of the American Beauty Academy in Wilmington.
    Ioannis Kostikidis, 53, who was a security guard at the beauty school in the 600 block of North Tatnall Street, was accosted by two men as he was walking to his car at around 8:55 p.m. Feb. 6, police said.
    The suspects fatally shot Kostikidis and fled the area.
    The school is offering a $10,000 reward leading to the arrests and convictions of the two male suspects.
    The Wilmington Department of Police is continuing to aggressively investigate this incident by conducting interviews, analyzing evidence, and reviewing surveillance footage.
    The Wilmington Department of Police condemns this heinous crime and asks for the public's assistance in providing any additional information.
