New Castle County paramedics responded to the area of Delaware Park Blvd and N. Main Street (Stanton) for a report of two (2) separate serious motor vehicle crashes.
Injured Paramedic – While working at the scene of these motor vehicle crashes, a New Castle County Paramedic was injured when he fell approximately 25 feet off of the bridge overpass. The 34 year-old male paramedic was treated for neck and back injuries and transported to the Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
Crash #1 - EMS personnel arrived on scene to find a single vehicle rollover crash which injured a 25 year-old male and a 23 year-old female. The male was treated for neck and back injuries. The female was treated for head injuries. Both victims were transported to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
Crash #2 - EMS personnel arrived on scene to find a multi-vehicle crash with one (1) victim trapped. Rescue personnel utilized the "Jaws of life" to free the driver who was trapped in his vehicle for over thirty (30) minutes. A 60 year-old male was treated for back and internal injuries and transported to the Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
