Nine non-profit organizations from across the state will receive 550 blankets Friday to distribute to people who are homeless in Delaware.

Blankets will be distributed to the nine organizations from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday from a warehouse on the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services' Herman Holloway Campus near New Castle.  In turn, the organizations must distribute the blankets to people who are homeless within seven days.  If you know someone who is in need of a blanket, contact one of the following organizations:

This effort is being led by the Division of State Service Centers (DSSC), with funds provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
