  • More than 200 children from local low-income families will receive free dental services ranging from screenings to dental restorations Feb. 2 as part of the 10th annual Give Kids a Smile Day held nationwide.
The all-day event will be held in two locations: The Dental Group, 34359 Carpenter’s Way, Lewes, and Dental Associates of Delaware, 1415 Foulk Road, Suite 200, Wilmington. Last year more than 50,000 dentists and other volunteers nationwide participated in Give Kids a Smile Day. The program was first held in 2003 by the American Dental Association (ADA) to provide care and raise awareness of the importance of access to dental care for children from low-income families.
Pre-registration and signed parental permission is required. Local children are selected through agencies only, including the Head Start Program. For more information, call (302) 645-8993 or (302) 477-4900.
