Police arrest three Elsmere suspects, one suspect wanted, on drug charges Jan. 17 in the Fenwick Park Apartments, 1410 Cypress Ave., Elsmere.
Branden A. Tucker, 21, and Darin N. Matthews, 43, were charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matthew’s additional charge includes possession of a controlled substance. Bernardo McKinney, 28, was charged with possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance in a tier I quantity, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, and possession of marijuana.
Investigators say a search warrant was issued for several units in the Fenwick Park Apartments. They say they found 40 bags of heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia used to prepare marijuana in the 1400 block of Maple Avenue; Tucker and Johnson were taken into custody. They say they searched an apartment in the 1500 block of Maple Avenue and discovered McKinney sleeping next to a duffel bag which contained more than 250 rounds of ammunition, a machete, two hunting knives, four bags of heroin, and marijuana.
Police are still looking for William N. Johnson, 27, who is currently wanted for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
