The Friends of the Hockessin Library (FOHL) Annual Used Book Sale officially begins Friday, Jan 18 at 9 a.m.
Is your personal library looking a little lean these days? Then bulk it up while also supporting your local Library by attending the Friends of the Hockessin Library (FOHL) Annual Used Book Sale, beginning Friday, January 18 at 9 a.m. (A member’s only preview sale is held the night before.)
Considered one of the best used book sales in all of Delaware, this year’s sale will feature over 70,000 books with at least 50,000 hardbacks sorted into 40 categories. A wide selection of pocket paperbacks and large soft covers, CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes will also tempt veteran and novice bargain hunters. Books will be continually replenished through Saturday.
FOHL invites local charities and schools to attend the book sale to take what books they can use. Books that are not sold are donated to non-profit groups during the year or sold.
Charles Shattuck, whose store Wild Birds Unlimited is located across the street from the sale, said that on Sunday you can fill a bag up with books for only $7.
