  • Troopers Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Limestone Road

  • The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a crash this morning on Limestone Road (St. Rt. 7) that claimed the life of a pedestrian.  The crash occurred at 5:26 a.m. as Kelley R. Baker, 31, of Wilmington, was driving a 2003 Honda Accord in the right lane of Limestone Road southbound, in the area of Hendry Drive. The front of the Accord struck a male pedestrian who was crossing Limestone Road in an undetermined direction.  The male pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Baker and the passenger in her vehicle, Phillip H. Porter, 30, of Wilmington, were both properly restrained and uninjured.  The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash. No charges have been filed. The right lane of southbound Limestone Road was closed for approximately three hours as Troopers investigated and cleared the crash.
