A Wilmington man faces several gun-related charges after police say he fired a shotgun and handgun from his home in the direction of Interstate 95.
New Castle County police arrested Brian Szymanski, 46, at his home in the 1300 block of Tulane Road Thursday night. They had received a report of a man firing a gun near the interstate, which was about 100 yards away.
Officers entered the home and found two children, several firearms, ammunition and several shotgun shells and shell casings. One of the guns had been reported stolen earlier this year.
Szymanski is charged with reckless endangering in the first degree, discharging rifles or other explosives and receiving a stolen firearm. He was released on $8,250 bail.
