Police are looking for the suspects responsible for an armed robbery that took place Dec. 20 at the Darley Pharmacy, 111 Darley Road, Claymont.
Investigators say one suspect approached a 58-year-old male employee and demanded money while swinging a crowbar at the employee. They say a 31-year-old male employee turned over an undisclosed amount of money from the register. Police say the second suspect, armed with a handgun, jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded money from a 21-year-old female employee, a 22-year-old male employee, and a 49-year-old male employee. They say one of the employees turned over an undisclosed amount of money after the suspect fired one round into a shelf that held prescription drugs. The suspects ran away; no one was hurt.
