Macy's in the Christiana Mall will welcome Santa Claus on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m., just a couple weeks after his appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City.

Santa will welcome one and all to join in the festivities, as he reminds everyone about the spirit of the Christmas season and shares a few magical moments with his jolly elves.

Earlier in the day, Santa will make a special visit to the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware where he spread holiday cheer to the families of seriously or chronically ill or injured children.

The event is part of Santa's national bus tour launched in 2009 as part of Macy's annual "Believe" campaign, taking St. Nick on a whirlwind bus trip across the United States. This year, Macy's and Aflac will partner as the National Santa Tour hits the road, bringing holiday happiness to cities from coast-to-coast.

Now in its fifth year, Macy's "Believe" campaign invites children of all ages to mail letters to Santa using Macy's Santa Mail letterboxes. Macy's donates $1 for each letter mailed in stores, up to $1 million, to Make-A-Wish.

Macy's in the Christiana Mall is located at 501 Christiana Mall Road, Newark.
