  • The American Council of Education office of Women in Higher Education Delaware Network honored two Delaware Tech employees Nov. 29 at its annual fall dinner and awards ceremony.

  • The American Council of Education office of Women in Higher Education Delaware Network honored two Delaware Tech employees Nov. 29 at its annual fall dinner and awards ceremony.
    Dr. Frances Leach, assistant campus director of Stanton and Wilmington campuses at Delaware Tech was presented with the Leadership Award. Cara Stanard, an academic counselor at the Stanton and Wilmington campuses at Delaware Tech, was presented with the Rising Star Award.
    Leach received her bachelor's degree in English and M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in mathematics from the University of Delaware. She has held a variety of leadership positions, including co-chair of the self-study steering committee for middle states re- accreditation, chairperson of the mathematics department and dean of instruction.
    Stanard earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the College of Wooster and a Master of Education degree in school counseling from Wilmington University. She is a graduate of Delaware Tech's Leadership Development Program and the recipient of the College's Excellence in Service Award.
