Kenny Family ShopRites join the Food Recovery Challenge

The Kenny Family ShopRites of Delaware have announced that they have joined the Environmental Protection Agency Food Recovery Challenge.

The challenge encourages organizations to donate and divert as much of its excess food as possible to feed families and protect the environment. ShopRite officially launched this food recovery program Nov. 15 on America Recycles Day. The initiatives will help to keep the Food Bank's shelves stocked for its patrons.

The Kenny family has also been a supporter of the Food Bank of Delaware through its year round, community-based, hunger-fighting initiative, ShopRite Partners in Caring, which donates $3 million annually to local food banks.
