Jones named CACC cross country Rookie of the Week

Logan Jones, a freshman at Goldey-Beacom College, has been named the recipient of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's cross country Rookie of the Week Award for the week ending Oct. 14.

Jones was the Lightning's second-fastest runner at the University of Delaware Blue and Gold Meet on Friday afternoon, posting a time of 27:35 to earn 21st place. It marked the fastest 8K time of the season for Jones, who also had a sixth place effort at the Dukes Invitational on Sept. 15.

The Lightning will compete at the CACC Championships Oct. 21 at the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
