  • Police are currently investigating the death of a Wilmington woman that happened Oct. 8 after she was struck by a forklift at Eastern Metal Recycling, 4113 New Castle Ave., New Castle.
Robin Godfrey, 53, was a customer at Eastern Metal Recycling and was pinned against the building's wall after an employee of the business lost control of the forklift.
Police say that the employee got off the forklift after she used it to place a large metal container on the ground. They say the vehicle began to roll backwards, and the employee jumped back on it to try and regain control, but was unsuccessful.
The case is still under investigation.
