  • Top entries from Delaware schoolchildren in this year’s national Doodle 4 Google competition will be unveiled this weekend in a new display at the Delaware Children’s Museum on Saturday, July 21.

Delaware Doodles will open at 9 a.m. and will run through Sunday, September 30 at the museum, 550 Justison St., Wilmington.

The student artists will be guests of honor during a special preview from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 20 during the Museum’s weekly “Friday Family Fun Night.”

Doodle 4 Google is one of several efforts by the company to encourage and celebrate the creativity of young people by asking students to create their own Google doodle.  The theme this year was “If I could travel in time, I’d visit...”

Guest judges include: Katy Perry, Phineas and Ferb creator and executive producer Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, and recording artist Jordin Sparks.
