The BTL  Foundation for International Services has announced the Small Grant awards for families in need and nonprofit organizations who provide  humanitarian services to people in need.

After reviewing more than 50 applications for small grants, the Committee awarded $250 to $1000 to the following organizations for their projects:

Hope Abides Maasai Heritage Preservation Foundation Inc. Power Up Gambia Adults Helping Children Today-Ukraine Frederica Senior Center Inc. Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation USA for UNHCR Kings World (USA) Inc. Perkins School for the Blind.

The BTL Foundation also provided 5 Small Grants to Families and Individuals to help with emergency funding in the amount of $250 to $500.

As pledged by Founder Chairman B.T. Lakshman, the above grant awards were matched dollar to dollar, spokeswoman Nurani Mohana said. Due to paucity of contributions, the Foundation could not accommodate some more families and charities in need who deserved grants.

The BTL Foundation provides health, education and humanitarian services to people in need in the United States of America, India and other parts of the world. The Foundation also provides Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Dinners as well as distributes Turkey Baskets to needy families every year throughout Delaware and surrounding areas.

Those who wish to support the Foundation can donate directly to The BTL Foundation by mailing a tax-deductible contribution to The BTL Foundation at 114 Mettenet Court, Hockessin, DE 19707. Donations are also accepted online at www.btlfoundation.net.
