  • Karen Galanaugh, APR, president of Galanaugh & Company Public Relations and Katherine Ward, freelance editor, both of Wilmington, have jointly won first place in the category of "Information for the Media" in the National Federation of Press Women Annual Communications Contest. The award was presented onstage at the NFPW annual conference in Chicago this month.
The judges noted the good writing and excellent online background resources provided to the media in promoting, "What Really Happened To Our Economy," a public forum event featuring Michael Greenberger, nationally renowned lawyer, professor and economic advisor. The event was held last September in Wilmington and was sponsored by the Delaware Humanities Forum, Delaware Press Association and the Delaware Coalition for Open Government.
